Letter from the Parents

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your many prayers as well as your hospital visits, food and love offerings for Jonathan and our family. Thank you does not seem enough but please know our hearts are overwhelmed with much gratitude to each of you!
From the beginning your prayers have sustained us as God has given us His grace. Truly His grace is sufficent.
From the very lst day of the accident we had God's promises that we held on to and we continue to hold on to them as we walk this new journey of faith.
Day one, the Lord promised to send us His Holy Spirit to comfort us (John 14) and He has. At the hospital He spoke to us in the chapel "Jonathan will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord" (Psalm 118:17) and He is!
As the days went on and we saw the first sign of improvement God spoke to us through His word. "He who began a good work in you (Jonathan) is faithful to complete it (Philp. 1:6) and after 3 months we are home. God is truly amazing and faithful to His Word and we give Him all the glory!
Day by day we are trusting the Lord and we continue to stand on His Word. The Lord is doing a great work in Jonathan physically, emotionally and spiritually as well as in each one of us. Jonathan's journey of faith isn't over yet and we have daily struggles therefore, we covet your continual prayers.
Jesus said that the greatest commandments were to love the Lord thy GOd with all they heart soul and mind and the second greatest is to love your neighbor as you love yourself.(Matt.22:37-39).
Dear friends, you have truly exhibited to us the love of Christ. Yet I would be amiss if I did not invite those of you who do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, to ask Him into your life. He loves you (John 3:16)! He created you for a special purpose and He has the best plan for your life. (Psalm 139; Jer. 29:11-)
Jesus is the answer to all your needs and He came that you might have life and have it more abundently. He is the only one who will ever satisfy your every need (John 4). He will be your best friend, he will guide you, give you rest from your burdens, bring you comfort in trouble times, give you peace in the midst of the storms and always bring you through to victory. He will never leave or forsake you. Over and over again He has proven that to us and He will do the same for those who love Him, trust Him and serve Him. He is faithful! Jesus is more than enough! So ask Him into your life today.

"May God Bless You all! Yes, I pray that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will give each of you His fullest blessings, and His peace in your hearts and your lives. All my prayers for you are full of praise to God!" ( Phil.1: 2-3)

Love in Christ,

Pam & Wayne,
You two have been going through probably one of the most difficult times in your lives these last several months. You have laughed and you have cried a lot. But through it all you kept the faith. You did not waiver and GOD is bringing you "through" because of the love and faith that you have in HIM. Pam & Wayne you two have been our mentors, our role models our sister and our brother. You both exemplify the love and faith of GOD. Without GOD we can do nothing! With GOD, we can do ALL things. HE who started a great work will be faithful to complete it. Your strength is amazing. It is GOD's supernatural strength that gets us through. I know that no one could have gone through what you have, they way that you have, without GOD in their life. God is turning tragedy into triumph! I know that Charlie, Rebecca, Rachel, & Bryon have also been there for you and especially for Jonathan. That is what family is all about. Staying close and loving one another in the good times and the bad times no matter what. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you all daily. Have a very HAPPY ANNIVERSAY ON FRIDAY, MARCH 13TH - 38 YEARS - WOW! Take some time for yourselves on your anniversay. You two definitely deserve it! Love to you all,
Bob & Maxine

WOW, it is great to see Jonathan. He looks great. I know I didn't see him right after the accident, but the way it was described I could only imagine. Please know that there are plenty of people here in Franklin that have prayed, cried and prayed right along with all of you. Staying updated has given a lot of people new hope in their own lives and making us realize that there is always someone out there that is going through worse things than we are, same thing Jonathan should think on.
We love you all and our prayers are continually with you all!!
Be Blessed!! you all have sure Blessed us!
much love,
Karen Smith

Dear Pastor, Pam and the entire Newman Family,

LOVE THE NEW PICTURE!! So great to see you all together, smiling and loving it.

Jonathan, it was great seeing you in church Sunday. It just reinforces how loving our Lord and saviour is. To know where you where just three months ago and to see you there praising Him was the best.

I know it's hard sometimes but, please remember that you have God in your life. And your family and everyone else praying for your full recovery. It will happen!

God Bless you and your family. You Guys are the best!!!!

Love,
Pete & Maria

Pam & Wayne,
We learned of Jonathan's accident about six weeks ago and have been praying for him as well as the family. His name is also on the prayer chain at our church. We could not say it better than Bob and Maxine and we totally agree that you and your family have been an inspiration to so many people. Your faith has been a testimony of what God can do when we dare to believe Him. God is FAITHFUL and we know that he will continue the work that he has begun in Jonathan. We will be praying specifically for the return of sight in his right eye and for strength to continue as God restores his body. God has a plan for him and many lives will be touched by what he has been through and the faith of you and your family. We didn't realize that this Friday is your 38th anniversary - Happy Anniversary! Love to you and your beautiful family.
