Nearly a week since the last post - sorry about that. Time slips by me quicker than I'd like these days.

Jonathan is doing well - for the most part. It's still a difficult situation. He still has to rely on someone for just about everything. He's praying constantly , and trying to keep his spirits up. Thursday he has a Dr.'s appointment to determine if they can start physical therapy on his right leg. His femur, tibia and hip were all broken in that leg. So, after much surgery there is much rest that is needed. He's looking forward to getting out of his wheelchair and getting a pair of crutches. At least then he'll be more mobile, and able to get around a little better around the house, and such, on his own.

We take for granted all those little things - using the bathroom on our own, taking a shower on our own, walking in/out of your bedroom, etc. He often reminds us not to do that. Hour long conversations are a norm now. God is giving our family wisdom with how to deal with certain situations and patience when we feel we can't. He's been with us every step of the way, and I know that will always be the case. Every time we've called He's answered. We remind Jonathan often of the miracles that have already taken place - the fact that a nurse and chaplain came out to get the family to say good bye to him - as the doctor's were still working on him. We said no, believing that God was going to save him. He did - in more ways than one.

Jonathan says often how he can't wait to tell everyone what God has done. How he feels like all of this isn't yet making a difference in any one's life. In those moments, I tell him of stories of friends who have come up to the hospital, people who have come to the church, those that have called, written cards and churches that have so faithfully continued to pray. Then, he's amazed. He can't yet fathom all that God's done through his life and in this circumstance. So, we're there to remind him, to inform him and to encourage him that this is only the beginning - God has so much more to come!!

Please, continue to pray for the sight in his right eye to be restored. Thursday I got home and he told me that he believed God was going to heal his eye that day. He woke up that morning and, in faith, put a flashlight up to his right eye, but still there was complete darkness. I reminded him, as so many have said over him, "He that started the work in you will be faithful to complete it" - Philippians 1:6. His faith remains though sometimes the struggle overwhelms. So, as you remember to lift up his physical healing, please pray for encouragement of his spirit. Pray that God's presence would be known to Him and that His voice would be heard by him. We know God's not finished. So, we're praying for grace through the process.

Thank you call for your prayers. We can't say that enough!!

I just thought about being able to do things on my own, just reading what you said has made me think about that now, that yet again i have something else to be grateful about today! But as jonathan's situation changed my life so has your family's. In showing me to love my family and always let them know that and when things get rough you pull together not fall apart!
