Yesterday was Jonathan's first trip back to church. Charlie wheeled him into the service at Bay Life and from the second he heard the music he was smiling from ear to ear. It was amazing to see him there, and so eager and happy to be. Dad asked him to say a few words if he wanted. Of course the first words he said were "thank you" to everyone for praying. He informed the congregation that he believes God gave him a second chance; this time around things are going to be different. He's got to change some things in his life and live for the Lord. He asked that everyone would keep praying cause he still needs it.

It was such a sincere request and thanks. He doesn't really do anything to please people or say what people "want" to hear - he's never been that way. What's in his heart is what he'll say no matter if you like it or not! Of course, most people were crying and everyone was so glad to see him, but once he got in the car on the way home - he was ready. After sitting in his wheelchair for any length of time he gets pretty uncomfortable and tired, but he pushed through and was glad to have gone.

This week Jonathan has a few appointments. Tomorrow is the one I am specifically going to ask you to pray for - it's with the eye Dr. Jonathan still has absolutely no sight in his right eye. He can't even see light or shadows at this point. Often he'll ask us to pray, or he'll pray on his own and when he's done he asks for a flashlight. He puts it right up to his right eye believing that the prayers have worked and he'll be able to see. That has YET to be the case. So, please pray that tomorrow they will have a better understanding at what is going on there, and either by medical staff or God's touch - his sight will be restored.

Thank you again for your prayers. I can't say it enough. Just as I can't request enough that you continue. God is still working . . . in all of us. It's still very much a process, and strength is needed to continue walking in it. So, please keep on prayin'! We know - God isn't finished yet!!

It was so wonderful to see Jonathan yesterday...to see all that the LORD has done in him. To think that the doctors didn't have any hope in him recovering just 3 months ago and there he was yesterday smiling and being Jonathan. It still brings tears to my eyes. He is living proof that we serve an AWESOME LORD that should always be praised. I believe with all my heart that Jonathan's sight will be restored I believe that GOD will heal him from the crown of his head to the tips of his toes. Jonathan will be and is a living testimony to what GOD can do. Believe me Jonathan has touched more lives that he will ever know including Matthew's who was so excited as well having asked me that morning was Jonathan coming. We love you guys and we will continue to pray for total healing.
