Monday, December 1, 11:00 AM

There's not much to report this morning. He remained the same through the night. They came in around 4:00 AM to take him off of the sedation to see his response. The only response was that his blood pressure started to rise so they put him back on the sedation. He will remain sedated until further notice. At this point there are a few things they are looking for when they take him off of the sedation. They want to monitor his brain pressure, blood pressure and heart rate. They said that the blood pressure getting high could be indication of a few things - his recognition of pain, his body fighting infection, internal bleeding , etc. So, they're really monitoring that and hoping to take him off the sedation today so they can do a more efficient job of that.

The doctors were pretty excited that the swelling in his abdomen had gone down so much. They are really thinking that they'll be able to surgically close it very soon - the next couple of days, hopefully tomorrow.

Please be in prayer for the family - decisions are hard to make and especially mom and dad need wisdom and strength to make difficult decisions. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support. God is working. We are trusting.

Sandi and I are praying for Jonathan's recovery daily, as well as our daughters. Thanks for the updates as we are checking daily.
Our church family as well is keeping him in its prayers.

I am glad to hear Jonathan is doing so well. I have known him for a long time and no he is a true-fighter he will make it threw this. I went threw the same with a friend who had a motorcycle accident. It was amazing to me how God can touch someone like he has. I know that Jonathan is the angel that was sent here to do all the good and God will not let him go. You are all in my prays everyday. I thank you for letting us know how he is doing as ya'll are in pain also. So thank you again. Be strong God and Jonathan have this plan all worked out! I can feel it!

Rebecca, have they said anything about his brain and its activity? Did they give y'all the results of the brain scan?
I wish we were closer to help y'all out but we know y'all have plenty of church family there.
Thanks for keeping us updated and I bet this way of communication is giving Aunt Pam and Uncle Wayne a rest from having to repeat themselves.

Love from NO!

Dear Rebecca,

This blog is wonderful for keeping Jonathan's needs uplifted to our Lord and Healer, Jehovah Rophe. Thank you for taking time during the day and night to get the word out. I awaken during the night to find that the Lord is having me pray for the very thing you mention in your blog. The Lord is faithful to allow us to be used for Jonathan and your family's needs, but it is growing my faith in "listening" to the Lord when I read your blogs to confirm my prayers. Thank you for your loving concern for us out here around the world filling the bowls of heaven with prayers for you all. Sending our love, as always... the Restoration Road gang, Joann, Jeanne, Donna & Kelly
